Maria Mu
Maria was born and raised in the Thailand refugee camp. She resettled in the United States in 2012, as a refugee. Maria obtained an associate degree from the Community College of Denver and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Colorado Denver on a full ride scholarship. Since then, Maria has volunteered her time helping her family, friends, and her community with interpretation and cultural navigation. In addition to that, she has worked as a medical interpreter throughout her college years. Besides interpretation, Maria also volunteers her time playing the piano for her church and the guitar for Sunday school children.
In her spare time, you can find Maria designing clothes, playing instruments, taking pictures or taking walks on a serene day. She is a proud homebody and sewing enthusiast. She has a heart for helping her community as there is always a need.
