Recent Highlights
RISE is deeply honored and proud to announce that our CEO and Co-Founder, Veronica Crespin-Palmer, has been chosen to be a part of the inaugural 2018 Obama Foundation Fellows class. Veronica and 19 other Fellows were selected out of 20,000 applicants from around the world. RISE believes in the mission of the Obama Foundation, to inspire and empower people to change their world through civic engagement.
RISE was deeply honored to accept the inaugural Inclusiveness and Racial Equity Award that was presented to us at the Colorado Nonprofit Association Awards Luncheon on March 16th. Thank you to The Denver Foundation for sponsoring this inaugural award and acknowledging the racial equity and engagement work that we do with Aurora families to achieve educational equity. Our Co-Founder and CEO, Veronica Palmer, accepted the award on behalf of RISE.
At RISE, we love to show GRATITUDE and it's one of our core values. This summer we have a lot to be grateful for! In the 2016-2017 school year, we had the honor of working with so many dedicated families, students, teachers, school leaders, and community partners. We know that life is complex and families are juggling many things at once- raising kids, working, going to school meetings- but RISE members also make time to create equitable systemic change in our public school system.
